[Bug 237786] Re: Hyperlinks within PDF files do not work properly in evince
The PDF file is indeed broken I've tested it with acroread, xpdf and evince and in none of them the hyperlinks worked, closing the report as the pdf is broken, not a bug. ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Hyperlinks within PDF files do not work properly in evince https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 237786] Re: Hyperlinks within PDF files do not work properly in evince
I figured out it may have to do with how the PDF file was created. In the attachment, none of the links are activated - meaning, the mouse pointer does not change when I hover over the link, and the link is not clickable. I re-created page 3 of the first attachment using OpenOffice's "Export to PDF" function. With the resulting document, the links work; however, it only pops up an error stating "Failed to execute child process "firefox" (No such file or directory)". I don't know how to change the command for launching the browser from within Evince, so I had to create a symlink to firefox-2 in usr/bin/ to make it work. ** Attachment added: "it210_course_syllabus.pdf" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17125682/it210_course_syllabus.pdf -- Hyperlinks within PDF files do not work properly in evince https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
