I have the nvidia-glx driver and desktop effects normal. I have just found out that the bug does not occur any more when I switch off desktop effects completely! My GPU is a GeForce4 MX. According to NVidia, I should install the legacy driver instad, but this seems to be impossible: The nvidia-glx driver is automatically installed via System → Administration → Restricted Devices Manager. I checked again and installed the correct driver: nvidia-glx 1:96.43.05+2.6.24.13-19.42 The problem still occurs as soon as I switch desktop effects to normal.
