I agree, that's not ideal (one account does not support invisibility, and invisibility is disabled across all of Empathy). But that is not this bug -- this bug is already fixed. [Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
I have this issue. I do NOT use GTalk on Empathy, I only use AIM, MSN, and Y!M. When I set my status to invisible in empathy it sets me to busy. Repetitively. It never stays as invisible/hidden for more than a few seconds before it changes to busy again. And I do not even have the option to change it from the user panel once it sets it there, it shows me in my user panel as busy and upon attempting to go to invisible does absolutely nothing. I am using Lucid LTS, completely updated and everything. It's never bothered me before because I didn't use messenger often but I am using it much more now, and this is an absolute pain. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257190 Title: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
I'm still getting this in Lucid. Using 'me menu' I set status to 'Invisible' but it displays the 'Busy' icon. If I then click 'chat accounts', it shows that MSN is set to invisible but Facebook Chat, Google Talk and the other chat that Empathy sets up are all set to 'busy' In my empathy contact list, the status switcher shows 'busy' -- Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
For me this is a must. No invisibility means no empathy. [Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
Also confirmed on Lucid using ICQ - plus: When I first click "Hidden", status is set to "Busy" - second click and the status shown above the contact list changes to "Hidden", but remains "Busy" in the panel. With the panel it't impossible to get invisible -- Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
