when i load a DVD, movie player opens, looks fine. Then turns grey and goes into an infinite loop with no error message. I just downloaded 9.10 and now I can't get any video to come up when I try to watch a movie. I have searched for the decoder and could not find it. Asked a friend, who got me hooked on Ubuntu, to look at my computer and he couldn't see anything wrong. Any help will be appreciated! Sebastien, Thank you very much for looking into this! I was able to solve the problem by going into my computer's BIOS and changing some IRQ's around. I believe the problem was caused by an interrupt conflict between the network card and video card. Video playback works great now [for me] in Intrepid Ibex. Both do not work.
