[Bug 269198] Re: Nautilus window goes to /media after removing usb stick
thank you for your bug report but that's not a bug, what else do you expect? nautilus to display a directory which is not available or the dialog to close? it used to close and lot of users reported bugs about nautilus crashing because they were very confused by the behaviour, now it just goes to a directory available under the one you were browsing ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Invalid -- Nautilus window goes to /media after removing usb stick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 269198] Re: Nautilus window goes to /media after removing usb stick
Yes, I can understand both situations to be confusing to users, but I don't think it is an improvement that it now goes to a different directory. The best solution I can think of would be to close the window and show a notification that it was closed because the device was removed. -- Nautilus window goes to /media after removing usb stick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

And oddly enough if I do the same with my iPhone, I get dropped in my home folder. -- Nautilus window goes to /media after removing usb stick https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
