Just upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10, and seeing the same problem with missing information on the Help/About screen. IMHO: I disagree with this issue marked as low priority. Given the target audience for ubuntu, I believe such things should be some higher priority, and scheduled for the very next available update. Technically, this hurts nothing. My system works fine. However, as far an "OS Image / perception" goes, things like these yell: Immaturity. Found out the PPA repos for OpenOffice are empty because of buggy packages. I get exactly the same problem with both the about and the version with the following locale output: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8" LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8" LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8" LC_ALL= I do not and never had Ubuntu Studio installed.
