And now the reason for the problem: there was no audio device. I ran Ubuntustudio in VirtualBox and had not activated any audio output device (or rather only the null audio driver). After switching to ALSA everything works fine. And now the reason for the problem: there was no audio device. I ran Ubuntustudio in VirtualBox and had not activated any audio output device (or rather only the null audio driver). After switching to ALSA everything works fine.
