Thanks for submitting this bug, in efforts to make Ubuntu Better. I have
the same results as you when I follow your steps in 8.04.1 . Works fine
in Intrepid. The only difference is when I try to extract it in a
terminal, I am still not prompted for a password, it does prompt me to
overwrite since I didn't delete the earlier test file.
