Re: [Bug 324226] Re: cant copy to new ipod
ill try and be more clear... if you have a *completely new* ipod shuffle... rhythymbox will not copy files to it. once i synced it with songbird it became "initialized" and i was able to add songs to it... the second problem is that once the songs are loaded the ipod does not recognise or play them! you have to either run the python script to re-ord the database or create a playlist on the device and copy all the files to it. these problems still exist and should not be closed. c. [Bug 324226] Re: cant copy to new ipod
i mean gtkpod the application, and libgpod is the library that allows to rhythmbox and gtkpod to talk with the ipods and copy/delete/etc information to them. but since it's working now i'm closing this report, feel free to reo pen if you can provide us more information about it, thanks. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- cant copy to new ipod https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324226 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 324226] Re: cant copy to new ipod
pedro, thanks for your rapid reply... howver... a. i have no idea wht you are talking about :) b. once my workaround was done... the problem has gone away -forever- but i expect it will exist for all new ipod shuffles and perhaps all ipods?? note that i *never* plugged the ipod into a windows machine... it was straight out of the box c.
