Hi Everyone at ubuntu/launchpad ,i have switched to ubuntu 9.04, jaunty jackalope,and my burning of dvd's issue is over,its cured,brasero seems more powerful in jaunty,and its probably 3-4 times faster than it ever was in windows/vista,i had one issue seems weird which im going to report,was to do with usb,both my mobile broadband and mouse are usb,and somehow conflicted with each other,mouse kept losing button funtions,mobile broadband connection kept turning itself off,was frustrating till i figured it out,...but i can burn dvd's with the best of them now,my problem is solved,thank you all for your help...ed -- It's News. Hi and thank you so much,because of you,supporting me like this im going to make a donation to the ubuntu,foundation is it,in the very near future,windows tha enemy of mine right now,no help yet windows vista just killed my other computer,it crashed bad and took alota junk with it when it did,invalid boot config,couldnt reinstall,it did something to my harddrive,no formating,no file transfer,messed up partitions,everything,i was screwed,linux when i tried the live cd thing,,fixed the harddrive everything,installed and ran,30 minutes maybelinux rocks! now to learn it... brsero ver- 0.8.2 logfile for brasero going to take me a lil time to get to,20 days of linux experience same thing with nautilus,tried a few others from open source by uninstalling one and installing other,im having the same problem with all so far,dont think its ubuntu or brasero,possibly wrong hardware driver? its a toshiba satellite,intel mobile at 1.5 ghz, 1400 series,its a 16 x dvd r-rw 24 x cd r-rw and + and - discs,its a combo drive,its built in from toshiba,when i checked theyre website the wasnt a proper driver listed,i guess ubuntu installed whatever it thought would work,in my dualboot machine,windows had a generic driver in xp pro that works in windows Does not acknoledge dvd discs as media,keeps saying insert disc,or media tell me i dont have to run a terminal for brasero log,terminals scare me yet,thanks again -- Be Yourself @ mail.com! Thanks for the report, Which version of brasero are you running? Does another program works fine burning the dvds? could you try with nautilus cd burner for example?
