Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
If I import a directory again, sometimes rhythmbox does find non-music files or files which are differently coded. It then starts to search for plugins for these files. So far so good. The problem is that if it does not find a plugin it does not remember that. So it would search for it 10.000 times if it finds it 10.000 times. I recommend a memory of searches. It may make sense to search again sometimes if a new repository was added. OTOH it should recognize that files that are not text are not opened with rhythmbox. ---- Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 ---- rhythmbox: Installed: 0.12.0-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.12.0-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.12.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rhythmbox repeatedly searches for plugins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356083 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
