[Bug 367008] Re: evolution crashed when opening the calendar
Hello, i wasen't successful in patching my evolution, like it is described unter bug #368508. The patch by Kib Reed (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/evolution- exchange/+bug/353187/comments/10) doesn't work, because the file eex.patch does not exist??? The instruction for "libical stable update" tops my terminal-competences. Sorry, that i wasn't able to test the update :( -- evolution crashed when opening the calendar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Hello, i think i have to do this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/evolution-exchange/+bug/353187/comments/10 . Right? Step eight wants to install the evolution-exchange_2.26.0-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb package. But i have an i385 System. What must i do? Thanks! stacktrace and backtrace are similar words there, do you have evolution running? could you try gdb --pid `pidof evolution-data-server-2.26` you can also look to the process list and use directly the number -- evolution crashed when opening the calendar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 367008] Re: evolution crashed when opening the calendar
Hello, sorry i don't understand your instructions. Is backtrace and stacktrace the same? Did you mean run evolution in terminal? By typing gdb --pid `pidof evolution-data-server` i get the answer, "gdb: option '--pid' requires an argument". Can you give my some more informations - Many thanks in advance! to get an evolution-data-server stacktrace: - run evolution - gdb --pid `pidof evolution-data-server` (gdb) continue get the crash (gdb) backtrace -- evolution crashed when opening the calendar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 367008] Re: evolution crashed when opening the calendar
Hello, i installed "evolution-data-server-dbg". I wasen't able to run a backtrace of evolution-data-server, because ... (gdb) evolution-data-server Starting programm: No executable file specified. Use the "file" or "exec-file" command. But i ran some backtrace with evolution again. After installing evolution-data-server the calendar opens correct. By scrolling backward through the calender causes a full crash. Scrolling forward seems to work. Was this you were asking for? Because i am not sure if i did the right thing, so i diden't attache the txt to the bug-report. If it's right i'll do!
