After searching through the other "Evolutino-Bugs" I found a work-around that worked for me: in the file "/home/.evolution/calender/local/systems/calender.ics" I deleted the last "vevent" which was a recurring event. Looking at the other posts, recurring events seem to be the reason why the Evolution Calender hangs. It seems that calender doesn't crash but rather waits for something to happen. This would also explain the "futex_wait" Hope this is in some way helpfull. Thanks for your work!! Hi, I can confirm this crash. The system monitor shows under "waiting chanel" : "futex_wait" I have a dual core AMD CPU, if this is important I tried backtaceing but could not find anything usefull.
