[Bug 37270] The test-speech tool is not included with gnome-speech

2006-03-30 Thread Daniel Holbach
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37270

Task: ubuntu gnome-speech
   Assignee: Accessibility => Daniel Holbach
 Status: Unconfirmed => In Progress

Comment:
Hrmm, I'm not completely happy with that. Unfortunately
debian/tmp/usr/bin/festival-synthesis-driver gets installed to the lib package
too. It'd make more sense to have a gnome-speech package, which contains the
binaries, or somtehing like libgnome-speech-bin

The problem is, that if they do an API change and bump the soname we will have
to replaces/conflicts the old package... oh well. Maybe we should just do it.
(will look into it again after Flight 6 Freeze).

[Bug 37270] The test-speech tool is not included with gnome-speech

2006-03-29 Thread Luke Yelavich
Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37270

Affects: gnome-speech (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
The Ubuntu gnome-speech package doesn't include the test-speech
application. This tool is useful to ensure that speech is working
properly without having to run other applications such as gnopernicus or
orca to test speech output.

Fixed attached.
