This bug also affected me more or less in the same way. On a clean installation I started Evolution for first time and it crashed like mentioned by Khorne. Tried some more times with the same result. After running Evolution on valdrind it started normally. I setup my account against exchange and all Ok. Closed Evolution and valgrind generated the log. After doing this, without any other action, Evolution now runs fine. This time (under valgrind) evolution opened properly and downloaded emails. Evolution now opens without any problems. Its probably caused by some other updates but to be honest I do not remember any related to the evolution or it's environment.
