Most anoying bug since 2007 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/136740 And we are almost in 2013 With Ubuntu 12.10 and nautilus still cant comunicate with the default image viewer. -- Nautilus saves the sort order somewhere and there's a script created by Qubit that adds 6 sort types that you can chose from the terminal If i decided to come back to ubuntu i'll have to find the script and somehow manage to link it to the file where the sort order is stored. . but i dont know why nobody did it in the last six years. I understand the report as concerning the case where EOG is called from nautilus with one photo to display, and then the user clicks next/previous... If however, eog is called with a list of filenames (e.g. from command line or a script), then it should really follow the order of the photos that it was called with.
