Hi Pedro,

thanks for the info. sounds a bit too time consuming, so I'll give it a
miss.

I'll close this and the other totem bug since I have not heard you regarding
that one either.

Thanks,
Anand

You need to get another backtrace then, the one you attached is broken,
please read http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the
file to the bug report. You also need to install the libglib2,libgtk2
and totem dbgsym packages, please also tell us a few easy steps in order
to reproduce it, thanks.

2009-06-26 Thread Anand Kumria
Hi Pedro,

As I indicated in the bug report.

Running totem does not cause the crash dialog to appear.

apport is not triggering but the crash is still occurring.

an...@saltatrix:~$ sudo ls -l /var/crash/
[sudo] password for anand:

The 2 other totem crashes were already reported.

here is one of the reports:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/389549

Is there any other suggestions you have to obtain information related to
this crash I can do?

Also, with respect to bug 389549, I am still pending on a response from you
as to what I should do.

Thanks,
Anand

[Bug 392557] Re: fails to play video

2009-06-26 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on
the crash report you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-
file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where
_my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
