I believe the delay in displaying the properties is related to the amount of 
time it takes to build the list of available drivers as the delay is the same 
as when adding a new printer?
Would it be possible to cache the driver list so that this delay disappears of 
at least display the same dialog box when bringing up the printer properties as 
when adding a new printer so that the user doesn't think the click was ignored 
or the program has crashed.

If I right-click on the printer, and choose "Properties", the context
menu stays as if I haven't clicked, until the Printer Properties dialog
eventually appears.
