Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xdg-user-dirs

XDG User Dirs(ex. ~/Desktop and ~/Music) are translatable on Launchpad[1].
However Launchpad efforts is not reflected in system on some languages.

[1] https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/xdg-user-
dirs/+pots/xdg-user-dirs/

Reason:
xdg-user-dirs package has patch for old po files by CDBS simple patch system
(debian/patches/90_rosetta_translations_update.patch), therefore generated
binary deb package has two mo files.

1) Patch origin and old mo file via xdg-user-dirs package:
/usr/share/locale/LL/LC_MESSAGES/xdg-user-dirs.mo

2) Launchpad translators effort via language-pack-gnome-LL-base:
/usr/share/locale-langpack/LL/LC_MESSAGES/xdg-user-dirs.mo

gettext system reads 1 rather than 2 under its priority rule.

Solution:
The reason why to use above patch system is that XDG User Dirs is created
before install langpacks in installation process (LP #147657). We shuldn't
drop this patch. I think that we can only regularly fetch translations from
Launchpad and update patch file before "Alpha/Beta/RC/Final" releases.

At this time the patch is very old. Last fetched time is 2008-10-08 (probably
to fix LP #271466).
