I had this bug on 9.10 too. I just updated to 10.04 and the bug is still here. The progress bar never moves and cannot be used to skip forwards. But the timer does work and the player does advance to the next song. I don't know what you meant by providing updated logs though. I don't know where Rhythmbox's logs are ... FYI, the bug repros very consistently for me. I've discovered that this bug actually comes and goes. Sometimes it uses the progress bar and other times it doesn't. It seems to depend on the song. Some mp3s will display the progress bar and others will not.
