Behavior is unchanged (still a bug) in Ubuntu Natty. The OK box
remains grayed-out if you retrieve the calendar list before entering a
name for the new calendar.

[Bug 445373] Re: Evolution will not let me ok new google calendars

2009-12-22 Thread Kamal Mostafa
I experienced the same problem.

In my opinion, the steps that lead to the problem are actually a very
natural workflow here, so the importance of this bug should be upgraded.

Workflow: The user wants to add a new Google calendar to Evolution, and
wants the new Evolution calendar to have the same name as the Google
calendar being referenced. To get the Google calendar name, the user
will need to retrieve the Google calendar list before entering the name
into the form (by hand, no less), invoking the bug. Indeed, for a new
Evolution user, the steps to add all my Google calendars (which is
what I was trying to do) will very likely result in just that scenario.
(Side note for a seperate feature request: Evolution should really just
have an add all my Google calendars button and save the user from
creating each one and manually typing in its name.)

[Bug 445373] Re: Evolution will not let me ok new google calendars

2009-10-07 Thread hanzomon4
Playing with this some more I've nailed it down... If you don't fill out
the information from top to bottom the ok widget will remain grayed
out. For example put in your user name and retrieve the cal list before
naming the calendar. If I name the calendar, put in my user name,
retrieve and select the calendar I want it works. However if I then
change the color or the name, before clicking ok, the name change and
the color change will not stick. I have to edit properties every time to
get the color I want, and the name if I decided to change it during the
calendar creation process.
