I retract my previous statement: I can't consistenly reproduce it. I just ripped two CDs and the problem didn't appear. Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu and its file manager Nautilus better by reporting this bug. However, before we can pass this bug report on to the developers we need some more information. It could be that when you're trying to eject a CD after you've ripped it some process is still using the disk and with that blocking the ejection. Could you please check if it always happens after an application like Sound Juicer used the disk intensively and use the command 'lsof' to check if any process is still using files on the medium? The command 'lsof' lists all files currently in use by applications, together with information about those applications. The paths of the files on the CD most likely start with /media/cdrom. I can consistently reproduce the bug by ripping a CD with rhythmbox and trying to use the eject button. After the ripping is done, the button does not work even after I completely close rhythmbox, although the eject notification bubble appears. I can't confirm this behaviour. Could you attach the output of the command 'devkit-disks --monitor-detail'? The commands monitors the disk activity and should be executed before you try to eject the disk. When you've tried often enough you can exit the monitor with Ctrl+C. If nothing useful shows up in the previous command, could you please repeat the same procedure, but now with the command 'gvfs-mount -oi' instead?
