After running Terminal with the instructions you gave, I ran Rhythmbox with the Creative Zen MP3 player attached. It was not found by Rhythmbox. Prior to updating Rhythmbox, I was able to see the player listed on the left hand side and its contents, although i wasn't able to play any of the items listed. Now the player doesn't even show up in the list. Regarding the rhythmbox-debug instruction, it was running for about 45 mins before I decided enough log had been created. It didn't look like it was ever going to finish so I closed it down. If you want me to run it again and just leave it running I will but perhaps you could tell me how long it is likely to run. The 2 log files are attached.
