Thanks for your comments * I'll look into totem's hook in lucid and update. The work here was based on totem's hook in karmic. * I'm not sure about that. I felt that it gave too less data, but if you feel that is the way to go, will modify appropriately. * the debug log seems to be what we request in about 80% of the cases, which I why I felt it would be nice to have it through apport.
