Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
Steps to reproduce (asusming that there are users A, B, C): 1) Boot the system 2) Login as A 3) Switch to B using the fast switch applet 4) Enter the password for B 5) Switch to A using the fast switch applet 6) The display where the unlock dialog should appear is black (sometimes still visible but with only 20 or 10% opacity, so it's nearly unreadable). No way to get it bright again.
