I reproduced this problem in 11.10 Oneiric 64-bit by opening the 655-page PDF linked above in Evince and printing to a Postscript file, then viewing the .ps file in Evince. The on-screen PDF looks fine, as does Print Preview in Evince. roxy - I think you have a different bug, given that you did not have the problem in Ubuntu 10.04 but Sennaista did. Does the problem appear in Print preview as well? I have encountered the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10; sample pdf file is attached. My solution is to use Adobe Reader for printing. Just to print a PDF file, I have to print to file, then convert this to JPG in GIMP. Horrible work-a-round, but it works I guess. Hopefully this is fixed soon as most people are not going to mess with this I doubt. Found this bug to be an issue in both Evince and even in the proprietary app, Adobe Acrobat reader for Linux.
