application>sound & vid>rhythmbox M P --> icon appears on the system tray. click on it --> select play (first playlist item will start playing). again click on it and unselect play. browse for a *.avi movie with such resolution that do not encompass the whole screen when played in 1:1 zoom. play it with vlc media player in normal interface --> double click on it. the frame comes into the centre and the surrounding goes black; but zoom level remains the same. even when you right click on it --> go to the zoom> 2:1 -->nothing happens. if you want to change the aspect ratio, that would not work either. Could you please add the steps to reproduce the problem?
