Because of bug #21003, I had to install a phantom IPP printer instead of the real LPR printer to have the driver installed. Now I can choose that driver for a new printer, but the printer is not added. Adding a local printer with this driver fails also... So I can only conclude that my problem is the custom installed driver, and not that it is a network printer.
