[Bug 689066] Re: "new appointment" or "new task" produces segfault
Thanks for your help. But as written, apport doesn't work and ubuntu_bug doesn't either: I get the following message on the console: (apport-gtk:2596): Gtk-WARNING **: /build/buildd/gtk+3.0-2.91.6/gtk/gtktreestore.c:800: Unable to convert from PyObject to gchararray Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/apport/apport-gtk", line 353, in app.run_argv() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 571, in run_argv self.run_crash(self.options.crash_file, False) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 290, in run_crash response = self.ui_present_report_details(False) File "/usr/share/apport/apport-gtk", line 152, in ui_present_report_details self.format_filesize(self.get_complete_size())) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 703, in format_filesize return locale.format('%.1f MiB', size / 1048576.) [Bug 689066] Re: "new appointment" or "new task" produces segfault
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/689066 Title: "new appointment" or "new task" produces segfault -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 689066] Re: "new appointment" or "new task" produces segfault
I found out more: It's actually the appointment properties dialog which causes the segfault. I get the same problem when I try to edit an existing appointment, but I can make an appointment when I just write into the calendar. It also crashes when I right-click on an appointment. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/689066 Title: "new appointment" or "new task" produces segfault -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
