[Bug 690455] Re: Screen saver not working.
Nothing is supposed to go away when you unlock the screensaver. Could you please give the exact steps needed to reproduce this bug? Thanks. ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/690455 Title: Screen saver not working. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 690455] Re: Screen saver not working.
Marc, The issue is when I let the computer go to the screensaver. It does not load the screensaver. The screen goes blank and when I move the mouse to get back to my work it forces my to log into the computer again. It is almost like it logs the user off when it goes to screensaver. This in an issue that should be resolved. Andy Marc Deslauriers marc.deslauri...@canonical.com wrote: Nothing is supposed to go away when you unlock the screensaver. Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I loaded Ubuntu 10.10 on my Laptop. When I have any work on the screen (spreadsheet, browser, editor, etc) and the system goes into screensaver/lockscreen, the work is not there when I put my password in and my account opens back up - why? Why wouldn't the desktop retain all open work previously on the screen after coming back out of screensaver that was there before the system went idle? This makes the OS unusable to me. The screen saver never turns on. It goes directly into lockout. I have tried changing the config file. checking and unchecking the box in the screen saver menu. Nothing works. This is a terrible flaw. When I am doing presentations or teaching classes I have to completely shut down the screen saver or the whole computer locks up in the middle. What screensaver do you have specified in System/Preferences/Screensaver? Is it Blank screen? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/690455 Title: Screen saver not working. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 690455] Re: Screen saver not working.
I have the standard screensavers that came with Ubuntu 10.XX. I have added on none of them. It is set for one of them. It is not set at blank screen.
