I have similar problem. I see lots of Nautilus windows in wnck-applet, but when I tried go to console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and kill 'em all, I didn't see any processes. After returning to the Xorg, all fake windows were removed. user@user-G31M-S2L:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Same here. Exactly the same problem started after begin a sync in Ubuntu One. $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
