[Bug 714088] Re: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()

2012-02-12 Thread Mark Rooney
I have the same issue - and I've been trying to report it for ages but
the Launchpad janitor kept closing it.

For me in a normal unity session it results in a reduced graphical
interface and the only solution is to log out and back in again to
reload gnome settings daemon.

[Bug 714088] Re: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()

2011-08-13 Thread Tony Mugan
I just got it with Oneiric also after all latest updates today.
I noticed that there were three wifi icons at the top of the screen in Gnome.
(having trouble with unity and fglrx but that is a different story).

On hovering over the icons it became clear that the menus beneath them were ok
(sound and accessibility features).
This is when the crash dialog popped up so it may be related to me using the
menus.

This is happening again with Oneiric fully-updated from alpha2. It
happens at start-up, but does not prevent system from opening desktop
with Unity-2d.
