Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Whenever I log in using the classic desktop with no effects, the trash
applet crashes and I get a dialog telling me something along the lines
of "The panel found a problem while loading
«TrashAppletFactory::TrashApplet». Do you want to remove the applet from
your configuration".

Killing gnome-panel reloads the trash applet without problem.
