[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: Should be close this bug? I don't remember seeing that problem with the GDM fonts in a very long time -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: Yes, the fonts are still quite clearly smaller than our normal desktop menu font. So the menus look cramped and awkward. Also, I'm waiting for some confirmation that we could do a totally custom gtk theme just for the GDM menus... if so, I'd like to work one up, who is the best person to do that with? -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: It must be resolution dependent. On my laptop, at 1024x768, it looks pretty good. The fonts in the option menu are exactly like the one in the gnome panel menus, while the reboot/shutdown menus use a different and slighty larger font. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: My laptop is also 1024x786, though, and there's a definite difference. More importantly, I'd like to use a totally different theme for these menus and dialogs. I need help designing a GTK theme, can you point me to any help in that regard? Both with designing the theme, and also to making GDM use it? -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: Mark, did you ever try changing the X command as indicated in my first comment? Could also experiment with -dpi 75 and -dpi 100. According to the link this is/was an X issue. Is this not the same bug? -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 7817] gdm dialogs seem to use wrong font
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/7817 Comment: I was waiting on upstream comments for the GTK theme. We can set a GtkRc custom theme for gdm but it's not theme specific and there is no UI option to change it (you have to edit the gdm.conf by hand), which means that if the user decide to change his greeter theme he will get a non- matching GTK theme for the menus on it. We could hack GDM to have the GTK to use listed by the GDM theme (as a XML option), but I'm not sure on how much coding that would require, I've planned to investigate on that next week -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
