gconftool /apps/update-notifier/show_apport_crashes is now true, /etc/default/apport has enabled=1, the service says it's started, but the behaviour is unchanged. Hi, Apport is disabled in released version of Ubuntu for a few reasons. It can be re-enabled using: 'gconftool -s /apps/update-notifier/show_apport_crashes --type bool true' I'm actually not sure if crash reports should still be created despite apport being turned off.
