Peter (maubp) wrote Is this a duplicate of Bug 787475 ? In essense it is though some things have changed in 11.10/12.04, so maybe go ahead dupe. Currently rhythmbox has no Musicbrainz support enabled nor any other means to rerieve cd info/album art so it's no longer an issue of the support being broken, it plain isn't there in the 1st. place. Why such decision has been made? Why not give people freedom to choose software they want to use? Need to force* people to switch Banshee? Well - even though the current RB source in ubuntu has a build-dep on libmusicbrainz3-dev, support doesn't get enabled. So I guess that that answers why no support. This issue continues on in 11.04 11.10.
