I've got some news. Yesterday next to one of my contacts who is using the same jabber server and the same client (Empathy) the webcam symbol was shown. I haven't had the time to try to call him but will try it later. My contact, mentioned in the last post, tried to call me. But it didn't work (Es kann kein Audio-Strom aufgebaut werden. Could not establish connection.). Can you go to the Skype Options and select the Video Devices page and tell us what it displays under 'Select Webcam'. Have you got more than one web cam listed? Also can you test it using Cheese (you may have to install it). Cheese works fine as well. Skype just presents me one webcam (my webcam) to choose: VF0700 Live!
