You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: gnome-mount
If I freshly insert a USB pendrive then without doing anything, ask for it to be unmount (via any of the GUI methods), I do not get a notification from libnotify that it is safe to remove the pendrive. However, if I insert it, copy some files, then unmount, I get very nice "data writing in progress", then "safe to remove" popups. If it was by design to suppress the safe-to-remove notification when there is no data written then please reconsider -- the user should receive notification when it's safe to remove a pendrive, no matter how soon that may be :) ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: Confirmed -- gnome-mount does not consistently display 'safe to remove' message https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/85961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-volume-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
