I am having the same issue ( two icons ) with Intrepid on my laptop. In my case it is with a OpenSolaris CD. Same thing happens to me with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. I have the same problem. When the disk is removed and another inserted, new icon shows up, but the previous one stays (but when opened, leads to the new disk). The second icon disappears after reboot without disk in the drive.
