[Bug 95867] Re: Gnome recognizes the resolution 1368x768 instead of 1366x768

2007-08-24 Thread Enola Gay
This bug still exists in standard Feisty and Gutsy Tribe 5.
A maybe interesting point is if I change resolution on Gutsy Live CD to
1366x768 I got a black screen. I could move mouse but see nothing. But I think
this is a general resolution or compiz problem. After X restart with ctrl + alt
+ backspace I have the wrong virtual resolution again.

Do you still have this bug? What version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you
try on gutsy?

2007-06-02 Thread ttoine
Cool to find someone with the same laptop and problems... and cool to
see that Enola did a lot of bug reports for this laptop.

So I have the problem too an the same laptop.

Enola, using i810switch, and its i810rotate command, is the external
display jammed ?

[Bug 95867] Re: Gnome recognizes the resolution 1368x768 instead of 1366x768

2007-06-02 Thread Enola Gay
I haven't tested it in a while but I think it wouldn't work with higher
resolution monitors. ATM I am using the standard i810 driver for LFP and
the i810-modesetting driver for external. Interesting point is since I
created a script to switch between this drivers the resolution is always
correct on LFP. Maybe it works because gnome resolution has a wrong
resolution saved (1680x1050) and it must reset which results in the
correct resolution but I don't know.

[Bug 95867] Re: Gnome recognizes the resolution 1368x768 instead of 1366x768

2007-05-20 Thread Enola Gay
It is very annoying if you change often between external and internal
monitor since every time you use the lfp it has the wrong resolution. Is
there any possibility to change the gnome-display-properties saved
resolution through a script? I haven't found any entry in gconf-editor.

Even if I change resolution with screen resolution gdm uses still
1368x768 as vsize.
