What I notice is that the "shutdown" start, few windows went close (skype for instance), then.. it seems it stop to continue to shutdown... At that point I can only use a command from the terminal like halt, shutdown, reboot... but I loose all the session configurations... Pse consider I have 2 more PC with Ubuntu and gnome: both are FINE!! 1 is a eeePC with 10.10 Remix 1 is a laptop, Asus, with 10.10, gnome, AWN (perfect!) but. it's a 32bit, not a 64 lie the main machine with all that troubles.
