LAS GNOME Conference - call for papers committee participation
Greetings! We are working on a new concept conference promoting applications in the Linux eco-system. LAS GNOME stands for Libre Application Summit hosted by the GNOME Foundation. This is an attempt to put together the great technologies we've created like xdg-app and OSTree and outreach to companies and developers, shepherd a healthy application eco-system, and create a market channel that is measurable and is viable for developer compensation. We have already obtained a city (Porltand, OR) and location (Eliot Center) and we are partially funded and we hope to be fully funded by sponsors by end of June. This will be GNOME's first U.S. based conference, nestled between GUADEC and Boston Summit. What we are looking for individuals who would volunteer their time to serve on a papers committee for LAS GNOME to review papers that fit our theme of furthering application development using xdg-app, and making GNOME and GNU/Linux the development platform of choice. If you are interested in serving on our papers committee please let me know! sri ___ desktop-devel-list mailing list desktop-devel-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list

There is no communication mechanism with the student provided by google at this stage. If your discussion with the student is relevant to the judgement, please leave a comment in the system. Cheers! FWIW, I consider "importing" through browsing with the file browser to be more important than importing from devices. Eg. opening image files in Photos through the filemanager should work, and allow importing. (Both gnome-photos and gnome-music can't be selected as the defaults in the Details settings panel, which is pretty weird...) ___ desktop-devel-list mailing list desktop-devel-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list
