If you intend this to be part of 3.1.3, merging it before the weekend
would be nice. That will give us a few more days to deal with possible
fallout and find a volunteer to roll a gconf tarball.

If you don't intend this to go in 3.1.3, it doesn't make much
difference, but we should probably still aim for doing a tarball soon
after the merge.

I'll take that as approval to merge now. :) I've just got one
niggle to sort out (a stray orbit mention in the pkgconfig file) and
then I'll merge.

Okay, I've just merged it to master.

As I said it defaults to using ORBit so hopefully this is a no-op for
most people. Please report any breakage to me!

Do you want to go the extra mile and roll a tarball ? That would be
appreciated...

Okay, I've just merged it to master.

As gconf does not have a gnome-3-0 branch this commit broke the string
freeze for 3.0.x. Branching before the commit is welcome...

Apologies, I forgot that there were a few new strings. Branch created.

Hi!

 2.32.5 rolled and released.

Hmm, would we want to have a new major version? The current version number
indicates that this is a bug-fix release that should be adopted by any
stable distribution which seems kind of misleading.

Regards,
Johannes

So what's the recommendation for downstreams? :-) Should we try to
switch to the dbus port, or stay with the old stuff?

If you're currently in a development cycle, feel free to switch to the
DBus port. It should work fine... (famous last words)

I also just re-released as 3.1.3 and am trying to get 2.32.5 removed
from the servers.
