But if I click the power manager icon, it lists: Laptop battery X:YZ until charged Keyboard (100%) Keyboard (100%) As you can see Keyboard is listed twice. But I only have one! Maybe because the laptop itself has a keyboard? The keyboard plugged into the KVM switch is wireless and indeed has a battery, so it makes sense for it to be listed, but the laptop keyboard has no battery apart from the battery of the laptop itself. If I click on either of the keyboard entries, a window pops up titled "Power Statistics." Along the left hand side there is a keyboard entry, but here there is only 1. And for Vendor it says, Logitech, Inc, Model, Keyboard+Mouse. My wireless keyboard is logitech brand, so this makes sense. So for some reason it only lists an additional keyboard when I click the icon. P.S. [Expired for gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60 days.] ** Changed in: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442599 Title: Microsoft Bluetooth Elite Keyboard/Mouse Loses Connection Status in “gnome-bluetooth” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: Not sure what package this bug is related to, but it involves the Microsoft Bluetooth Elite keyboard and mouse combination. When setting up the keyboard and mouse combination initially using the bluetooth-applet, both respond and work fine. In addition, they will still work after periods of inactivity after a few seconds of moving the mouse or hitting keys on the keyboard. However, the issue occurs directly after a reboot. After rebooting and GNOME fully loads and logs in the user (automatically), the keyboard and mouse no longer work. Both devices still show up under the bluetooth-applet menu as "Microsoft Mouse" and "Microsoft Keyboard" and both have grayed-out "Connected" with a blackend "Disconnect directly underneath. In the "Preferences" applet, both device are also present but are not connect nor connect after moving/click the mouse or keyboard for over 30 seconds continuously. Strange behavior though - Upon reboot and the new Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic splash screen appears, the bluetooth mouse DOES work (can't test the keyboard since input isn't accepted at this point). However, a few seconds before the Ubuntu sound plays, this is when the mouse and keyboard completely stop working. This is from a fully fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic (development branch) with all updates installed up until October 4th. Microsoft USB dongle shows as "Broadcom BCM2035" under the "Friendly Name" field in the bluetooth-applet's "Preferences" dialog box. I select the FTP (login) option. Challenge is that my username is my e-mail address, and it appears that the application is converting the '@' character that is part of my username to a '%40'. I am assuming this is the issue, because I am never able to establish a connection to the server. When I do get the password prompt, it fails and continues to loop. I have verified a successful FTP connection using the terminal window, but can not get the Nautilus to establish a connection to the FTP server.
