[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1527944] Re: Youtube video distorted and only outlines (HTML5) on v47
Same here for different WebRTC websites, like appr.tc or jitsi.org. Opened a WebRTC call with Chromium v43 or v45 and it worked, with v47 I obtain the result in the attached screenshot: ** Attachment added: "IMG_20151222_180616.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1527944/+attachment/4541514/+files/IMG_20151222_180616.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1527944 Title: Youtube video distorted and only outlines (HTML5) on v47 Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm a reporting a bug which is present in v47, not v45 or any earlier versions. I'm installing chromium onto Raspbian, but upon further tests this affects a full Ubuntu 15.10 system as well. Also notable, this is on the Raspberry Pi 2, a ARMv7 system (armhf). When viewing a youtube video, the picture comes out as only outlines and distorted. Pictures and a small discussion can be found here. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63=121195=100 This is with HTML5 video viewing, all options checked. As I said before, this works perfectly on v45, playing a video smoothly, yet such a picture gets produced on v47. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1525402] Re: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings
did you update the callback? GtkButton wont have an activate-link signal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525402 Title: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Confirmed Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 and I have recently noticed that in the gnome-control-center, at the bottom in the KeyBoard section there is a button which says "Input Sources": Input_Sources_Out_Of_Place_Button.png Though this button is only text, so actually not very obviously a button and in fact looks quite out of place, until I clicked it and it took me somewhere else I didn't really know what it was... The only time that a button like outline actually appeared around it was when I clicked it and that was only brief. So I really think that you should firstly make this button look more like a button (e.g.: add a boarder round it), and secondly actually put it somewhere on the page where it doesn't look just completely out of place, I don't know, maybe somewhere at the top or something, but it just looks odd and out of place where it currently is... Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1525402] Re: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings
Hey Tim, so I got the following problem: The input sources button is a linkbutton, which is not changeable into a normal button without loosing its ability to open the other panel. However, it seems to be not possible to change the design of this linkbutton to make it look like a normal button. I asked on StackOverflow how to do this, here is the link: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34495313/set-the-style-of-gtklinkbuttons But maybe you can help me earlier/better :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525402 Title: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Confirmed Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 and I have recently noticed that in the gnome-control-center, at the bottom in the KeyBoard section there is a button which says "Input Sources": Input_Sources_Out_Of_Place_Button.png Though this button is only text, so actually not very obviously a button and in fact looks quite out of place, until I clicked it and it took me somewhere else I didn't really know what it was... I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck! [This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: hardware-error ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1529585 Title: package firefox-locale-en 42.0+build2-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 [modified: usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/en-GB/amazon-en- GB.xml usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/en-GB/ddg.xml usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/en-GB/google.xml usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/en- ZA/amazondotcom.xml usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale /en-ZA/ddg.xml usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/en- ZA/google.xml] failed to install/upgrade: symbolic link '/usr/lib/firefox/webapprt/extensions/langpack-en- g...@firefox.mozilla.org.xpi' size has changed from 73 to 70 Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: My usual language in ubuntu is catalan. since the last actualization my ubuntu talks in english. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1529624] [NEW] Lenovo E50-80 inverted microphone not detected properly
Public bug reported: System: Lenovo E50-80 with Ubuntu 15.10. Tested with both kernel 4.2.0-22-generic from official repos and 4.4.0-040400rc6-generic from Mainline Kernel repo. Alsa information: http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=3088f82a0cf977855f92af9db8ad406c04f71efa Internal microphone does not pick up sound by default. When I mute one channel, it works (this is not a good workaround since some application, such as Facebook Messenger, unmute both channels and set them to the same level automatically). Adding model=inv-dmic to snd-hda-intel module options does not change a thing. Hope that helps, tell me if you need more info. ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1529624 Title: Lenovo E50-80 inverted microphone not detected properly Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: System: Lenovo E50-80 with Ubuntu 15.10. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1002978] Re: [meta-bug] Inverted Internal microphone (phase inversion)
Bug report for Lenovo E50-80: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1529624 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002978 Title: [meta-bug] Inverted Internal microphone (phase inversion) Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: This is a metabug for all machines that are having phase inverted internal microphones. If your internal mic is either completely silent (no signal), or you can possibly pick a very small sound, with much background noise, even though you have set gain to maximum, there is something you could try. Install the pavucontrol application, start it and go to the "Input Devices" tab. Unlock the channels (there is a keylock icon), then mute the right channel while keeping the left channel at the volume you want. If the internal mic is now working correctly, you have an inverted internal mic, so that your right channel cancels out the left one. (If you're not running PulseAudio, you can try doing the same through AlsaMixer instead (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/Alsamixer ), try changing "Capture" level or "Internal Mic" or "Internal Mic Boost" using the Q,E,Z,C keys.) If so, please file a separate bug against the alsa-driver for your issue, make sure hardware info gets attached to it (either alsa-info as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo or the standard ones that follows when you do "ubuntu-bug alsa-driver" ), then write a comment in this bug, with your machine name and a pointer to the other bug. As time permits, I'll try to work on fixing them for the next Ubuntu release. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 253167] Re: Rhythmbox sort by "Album Artist" for guest/compilations
This bug was first noticed in 2008, and it is now 7 years later, near the end of 2015, and it still hasn't been resolved. Rhythmbox is the default music player for the GNOME desktop, and I simply can't use it without this bug being resolved. I'll try to poke through the source and see what needs to be done to resolve it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253167 Title: Rhythmbox sort by "Album Artist" for guest/compilations Status in Rhythmbox: Confirmed Status in rhythmbox package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: rhythmbox For guest artists on an album or compilations Apple allows definition of an album artist and artist for each track. Rhythmnbox only allows browsing by track artists so many artists appear listed with only one track. Example, Red Book by Texas: 1. 036 - Texas 2. Getaway - Texas 3. Can't Resist - Texas 4. What About Us - Texas 5. Cry - Texas 6. Sleep - Texas featuring Paul Buchanan 7. Get Down Tonight - Texas 8. Nevermind - Texas 9. Bad Weather - Texas 10. Master Thief - Texas 11. Just Holding On - Texas 12. Red Book - Texas The sixth track has artist "Texas featuring Paul Buchanan" whilst all others are "Texas". I want to browse by album artist selecting "Texas" and seeing all 12 tracks on the album, not just the 11 that match. In other words, only filenames are used instead of full path to restor tabs. In the crash report, there was a command line key with the value with only file names (not with paths). The possible reason could be that gedit was launched form cmd line not in home folder but the restored is launched in the home folder. THAT DID IT! :) Didn't run the program under the newly installed Ubuntu Gnome yet, but as the source code is the most recent from pull-lp-source and I didn't do any changes to the layout of the program, it should look good in GNOME. Will submit this now to launchpad with bzr. ** Attachment added: "fixx.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1525402/+attachment/4541528/+files/fixx.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525402 Title: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Confirmed Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 and I have recently noticed that in the gnome-control-center, at the bottom in the KeyBoard section there is a button which says "Input Sources": Input_Sources_Out_Of_Place_Button.png Though this button is only text, so actually not very obviously a button and in fact looks quite out of place, until I clicked it and it took me somewhere else I didn't really know what it was... I think "activate" is actually fired on double click for GtkButton, you probably want to use "clicked" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525402 Title: "Input Sources" button looks really out of place in Keyboard settings Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Confirmed Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 and I have recently noticed that in the gnome-control-center, at the bottom in the KeyBoard section there is a button which says "Input Sources": Input_Sources_Out_Of_Place_Button.png Though this button is only text, so actually not very obviously a button and in fact looks quite out of place, until I clicked it and it took me somewhere else I didn't really know what it was... but you left the old button as well ;( that is the wrong branch, if you want to use bzr then it is lp:~ubuntu- desktop/gnome-control-center/ubuntu otherwise make a debdiff against the ubuntu source from pull-lp-source. either way you changes need to be done as a quilt patch!
