I'm really sad to say that I haven't anymore this computer which is the one of 
my daughter who lives far from me (600 km).
This bug was reported there is more than one year, so I'm not now able to say 
how I solved it.

Can my daughter launch this command (I suppose it must send you a report) ?
If I remember, I disabled apport, I suppose she must enable it before 
collecting the report ?

Title:
  X don't start after installation of programs

Bug description:
  On a new board ASUS H81M-Plus, with the chipset H81 Intel, and an
  Intel I3.

  I install Xubuntu 14.04, reboot, update/upgrade.
  After, that, i launch a script to install a few programs.
  The X-server seems to be break, and at the next start, the server X fails to 
load.
  I'm able to change the console, connect to my account, and launch the X 
server (startx).
  All don't work correctly, but the server seems to be correctly launched.

  I must say that on another computer with Wubuntu 14.04, but without
  this chipset, it works fine.

  I join my script, hoping you're able to find what is wrong. A great
  part of the packages are taken in ubuntu (apt-get), a few are located
  locally and installed using gdebi.

  I must add that I have tried to truncate my script, with a reboot
  between each part, and the problems occurs at different part, without
  I'm able to determine which could be the packet which can generate
  such problem.

  It seems to come after new linux build, new xorg and new intel driver.

  To the question about the package which can bug, I answer 'I don't
  know', but it ought to be 'xserver-xorg-video-intel'.

  I'm really lost about the cause ...

  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  When setting up a movemail account in Thunderbird, the wizard provides
  the option to use the Global Inbox with the account.  However, this
  type of account seems not to support the global inbox.

  To reproduce:
  - Create a new account of type 'Unix Mailspool (Movemail)'. In the wizard 
choose 'Use Global Inbox' (it is checked by default).
  - Send mail to yourself (verify that it arrived with ls -l 
/var/mail/)
  - Get mail for the movemail account

  Expected behaviour:
  - new messages from the /var/mail/username mailbox are moved to the global 
inbox under the Local Folders account.

  Observed behaviour:
  - Nothing happens, the Local Folders account does not even have an 'Inbox' 
folder.
  - Instead, messages are copied to the account-local inbox 
(.mozilla-thunderbird/.../Mail/localhost/Inbox).
  - In the movemail account settings, there is no option to control the use of 
the global inbox (as with POP accounts).

  Without the global inbox option reading mail works.
  Note: I have no other account configured which could make use of the global 
inbox (only IMAP accounts) -- in case this matters.

I have three monitors plugged into an ATI HD 7950, one through DVI,
the others through DisplayPort, via dual-link adapters. When KDE puts
the monitors to sleep, only the DVI monitor wakes up, not the
DisplayPort monitors.

xrandr shows all three monitors on.

xset dpms force on does not work. Using xrandr to change the
resolution and change it back does not work. Logging out and logging
back in does not work. Trying to switch to CLI with shift-alt-f1, I
see a console, but it shows the bootlog (on the DVI monitor), without
a login prompt.

Trying to log out and log back in, lightdm behaves as though the other
two monitors are on, but only displays on the DVI.

  re-plugged in to be freshly detected and mounted.

  Auditing support is a commonly used feature in large enterprises, and allows 
better tracking of actions happening on secured systems, especially when it 
comes to accounting for login events.

  Such systems fail to correctly list login events in aureport due to
  some software not integrating libaudit.

  [Test Case]
  1) Install auditd
  2) Login to the system multiple times (or allow for others to connect to the 
system)
  3) Run aureport -l

  System should list login information.

  [Regression Potential]
  There is minimal risk for issues since libaudit support only allows for 
generating extra logging saved on the local system. A possible side-effect of 
this may be that systems on which auditing is enabled and where there are many 
users of the affected software (see bug tasks), such as many logins over SSH, 
there may be an increased demand on disk space necessary for the auditing data.
