This is happening to me on Ubuntu MATE 20.04.1 with Firefox 84.0. The latest kernel tree

has the complete solution to fix this bug. So we can expect kernel
v5.11 to fix this issue without any additional work. Before the
release of v5.11, you are suggested to use #189 to save your touchpad.
The complete solution is three patches,
- 47a0001436352c9853d72bf2071e85b316d688a2 ("pinctrl: amd: remove debounce
filter setting in IRQ type setting")
- 06abe8291bc31839950f7d0362d9979edc88a666 ("pinctrl: amd: fix incorrect way
to disable debounce filter")
- 8dcb7a15a585b6d0fee15751ce11d7a68cfedd56 ("gpiolib: acpi: Take into
account debounce settings")
The first two patches has reached the stable tree. If the last one is
also backported to LTS kernel, you won't need to install kernel 5.11.
But I don't know when this will happen.

Although it's part of a patch set, it's rather an independent patch
because it's filling a missing implementation of the ACPI specs. I guess
Windows have already implemented it and that's why the touchpad works

Since switching to 20.04 I see a lot of problems with my standard
browser (chromium-browser), which seem to be related to snap.
Problem can be described as: Password management impossible
* chromium does not remember passwords and cannot import from csv
* chromium does not allow integration of keepassxc as a workaround to broken
internal storage
* after migration from 18.04 the pw storage format seemed to have changed, so
I needed to create new profiles, old password dbs were broken/inaccessible.

Had access to another Ideapad with touchpad MSFT0001:00 04F3:3140
installed. Kernel 5.10.2-051002-generic #202012210832 did not work out
of the box but in combination with #322 it worked so i can confirm, too.

The latest kernel tree
(https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git)
has the complete solution to fix this bug. So we can expect kernel
v5.11 to fix this issue without any additional work. Before the
release of v5.11, you are suggested to use #189 to save your touchpad.
The complete solution is three patches,
- 47a0001436352c9853d72bf2071e85b316d688a2 ("pinctrl: amd: remove debounce
filter setting in IRQ type setting")
- 06abe8291bc31839950f7d0362d9979edc88a666 ("pinctrl: amd: fix incorrect way
to disable debounce filter")
- 8dcb7a15a585b6d0fee15751ce11d7a68cfedd56 ("gpiolib: acpi: Take into
account debounce settings")
The first two patches has reached the stable tree. If the last one is
also backported to LTS kernel, you won't need to install kernel 5.11.
But I don't know when this will happen.

all (pointer and click never move when touchpad is touched). This has been

Touchpad works without workaround on
Ubuntu 20.04 with Kernel 5.9.16
Same goes for ubuntu 20.10.
Easiest way is to use the workaround, install mainline(alternative for ukuu)
install kernel 5.9.16

The latest kernel tree
(https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git)
has the complete solution to fix this bug. So we can expect kernel
v5.11 to fix this issue without any additional work. Before the
release of v5.11, you are suggested to use #189 to save your touchpad.
The complete solution is three patches,
- 47a0001436352c9853d72bf2071e85b316d688a2 ("pinctrl: amd: remove debounce
filter setting in IRQ type setting")
- 06abe8291bc31839950f7d0362d9979edc88a666 ("pinctrl: amd: fix incorrect way
to disable debounce filter")
- 8dcb7a15a585b6d0fee15751ce11d7a68cfedd56 ("gpiolib: acpi: Take into
account debounce settings")
The first two patches has reached the stable tree. If the last one is
also backported to LTS kernel, you won't need to install kernel 5.11.
But I don't know when this will happen.

The MSFT touchpad of this Lenovo Legion-5 15ARH05 laptop is not reacting at
all (pointer and click never move when touchpad is touched). This has been
reported by other users in various websites, with various linux systems
including other Ubuntu systems, but I saw no launchpad bug so I post one.

@wxl Walter, While testing Ubuntu 21.04 on the RASP PI4 I decided to install the Lubuntu desktop and then tried PCManFM-QT and then the opening of the Samba share files worked fine with no error messages. I then played around with a few PC boxes and got the same results after installing the Lubuntu desktop on the Ubuntu build. I am running Lubuntu version 20.04 with all updates installed The Libre Office version : Version: 6.4.2.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.2-0ubuntu3 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: qt5; Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded 1. connect to share on local network with PCManFM-Qt File Manager 2. click on file TEST_Samba.odt 3. The Libre Office splash/Logo screen appears for a split second and the nothing happens and the file is not opened. 4. I then right-click on file and select "open with Libre Office Writer 5. Document in Use" window appears with text: Document file 'TEST_Samba.odt' is locked for editing by: Unknown User Open document read-only or open a copy of the document for editing. Open Read-Only Open Copy Cancel Screen shot attached.. Expected results: The "TEST_Samba.odt" files is opened in read-write mode, user can edit it. Actual results: User can't edit original document (see 3-5 above) I have tested this on several boxes running Lubuntu 20.04 with the exact same results. I have also tested this on SparkyLinux LxQT version 5.11 with the same results. Ubuntu Gnome as well as MS Windows/Office have no problems opening/editing and/or saving this file back to the Samba share. The MSFT touchpad of this Lenovo Legion-5 15ARH05 laptop is not reacting at
all (pointer and click never move when touchpad is touched). This has been
