[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1981115] Re: middle-click and secondary-click are sometimes swapped

2022-07-23 Thread X Ghosh
This is when starting up in Wayland btw. Starting up in Xorg only has
the mouse disappear until something forces a redraw of the mouse-cursor
like a desktop zoom-in setting.

Title:
middle-click and secondary-click are sometimes swapped

Status in gnome-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
In files or a text editor, the functions for the stylus buttons on my
Wacom One are swapped (the button close to the stylus tip is supposed
to act like a middle click, instead it acts like a secondary-click,
  and vice versa)

In a web browser, however, they work normally.

I'm not sure if this is a bug with the wacom package, or something
more system-level. The mouse settings seem to recognize the clicks
correctly, the file manager and text editor do not, the web browser
  does.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1982581] Re: Nautilus (files) hangs on first seach after restart/log in

2022-07-23 Thread florin
I managed with the symbols webpage, although not 100% like it says
there, as it did not find nautilus-dbgsys=42.2-0ubuntu1 but "sudo apt
install nautilus-dbgsym" worked.

I have attached the new log with symbols.

Bug description:
I have a new laptop and Nautilus hangs on the first search I try it on after
the laptop is restarted or logged in. I never had this problem with the old
laptops, so it is new to me, but I did find others complaining about it. It
seems to be something related to the tracker:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1257693/files-nautilus-hangs-at-start-and-for-searches?noredirect=1#comment2463463_1257693

While Nautilus hangs I get a system notice to either wait for it or
close it, but if I close it, I never get through and I get the same
but next time I search, so I have to wait. This wait can take 2
  seconds or 15 seconds.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1982667] [NEW] Icons desktop disappear

2022-07-23 Thread Rousseau
Public bug reported:

I made a few a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04 and every thing worked
perfectly. But somehow, icons desktop disappear every time and I can't
create one. I don't install anything, just close the session and icons
disappear. And then, even after a reboot, they don't come back.

** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)

  Icons desktop disappear

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I made a few a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04 and every thing worked
