So if the issue is not present in 22.10, and if it is a mutter thing, it may have happened somewhere between mutter 43.0 and 43.4. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2019906 Title: 23.04 : condensed, bold and black fonts can't be used for interface and title bar Status in budgie-desktop package in Ubuntu: New Status in fonts-ubuntu package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, fresh lunar lobster installation here, from legacy iso image ( ubiquity installer. ) As I usually do, I tried to change the font for interface, as I much prefer « condensed » fonts rather than large, round, regular ones. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1958019] Re: [Lenovo Legion7 16ACHg6 82N6, Realtek ALC287, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all
I have the same problem with a ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 with Ubuntu 23.04. The sound works properly when connecting external speakers or headset, but I couldn't get the internal speakers to work :( This laptop also has an ALC287/3306 chip with a CS35L41/CSC3551 amplifier. This seems very similar what is mentioned here: https://gist.github.com/lamperez/862763881c0e1c812392b5574727f6ff?permalink_comment_id=4526397 journalctl displays the following message: "Error: ACPI _DSD Properties are missing for HID CSC3551". I tried it with the base kernel (6.2.0) as well as the latest one (6.3.3). The issue occurs regarless of the BIOS version (factory version: HXCN49WW and 20230517 version: HXCN52WW). I used the ACPICA tools to extract the ACPI tables and noticed the entries relative to the CSC3551 did not contain the required "cirrus" and "dev-index" parameters. This is quite disapointing and I will juste return the laptop to Lenovo. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958019 Title: [Lenovo Legion7 16ACHg6 82N6, Realtek ALC287, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all Status in sound-2.6 (alsa-kernel): Confirmed Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: On my Lenovo Legion-7-16ACHg6 laptop I can't hear any sound by internal speakers, but it work by headphones connected to standard jack aux. uname -r 5.11.0-44-generic ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: alsa-base 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.11.0-44.48~20.04.2-generic 5.11.22 Uname: Linux 5.11.0-44-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.21 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC2: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC1D0p: i3draven 1266 F...m pulseaudio CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sat Jan 15 15:10:53 2022 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-10-11 (96 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20210819) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: alsa-driver Symptom: audio Symptom_AlsaPlaybackTest: ALSA playback test through plughw:Generic failed Symptom_Card: Family 17h (Models 10h-1fh) HD Audio Controller - HD-Audio Generic Symptom_DevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC2: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: i3draven 1266 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC1D0p: i3draven 1266 F...m pulseaudio Symptom_Jack: Speaker, Internal Symptom_Type: No sound at all Title: [82N6, Realtek ALC287, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 11/08/2021 dmi.bios.release: 1.49 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: GKCN49WW dmi.board.asset.tag: NO Asset Tag dmi.board.name: LNVNB161216 dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0R32862 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: NO Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Legion 7 16ACHg6 dmi.ec.firmware.release: 1.49 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrGKCN49WW:bd11/08/2021:br1.49:efr1.49:svnLENOVO:pn82N6:pvrLegion716ACHg6:skuLENOVO_MT_82N6_BU_idea_FM_Legion716ACHg6:rvnLENOVO:rnLNVNB161216:rvrSDK0R32862WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrLegion716ACHg6: dmi.product.family: Legion 7 16ACHg6 dmi.product.name: 82N6 dmi.product.sku: LENOVO_MT_82N6_BU_idea_FM_Legion 7 16ACHg6 dmi.product.version: Legion 7 16ACHg6 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/sound-2.6/+bug/1958019/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

So this will require `0.11.4-2ubuntu1` package (currently in `mantic- proposed`, I did rebuild myself for `jammy`) to be backported, but I am happy to say it seems to work. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1815368] Re: Wallpaper "Wall with door on Gozo" has a ugly white 1 pixel border on the left side
I understand that even a small white border on the Ubuntu dock/panel can create the perception of an issue with the display or the positioning of the screen. https://thetraveltourism.com/5-common-garage-door-problems- and-how-to-fix-them/ This can be particularly misleading if the user has automatic wallpaper change enabled, as it may not be immediately apparent that the issue is solely related to the wallpaper. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-wallpapers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1815368 Title: Wallpaper "Wall with door on Gozo" has a ugly white 1 pixel border on the left side Status in ubuntu-wallpapers package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: At first this may not sound like much of a issue, but this tiny white border actually makes it look like there's something wrong with the Ubuntu dock/panel or like the screen is shifted 1 pixel to the right. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 2020239] [NEW] After update from Kubuntu 22.04 to 23.04 via 22.20 LibreOffice opens with 1 dimensional window
Public bug reported: I upgraded a machine from Kubuntu 22.04 to 23.10 and then immediately to 23.04. After logging on to 23.04 I tried to open LibreOffice documents but only had a vertical line on the screen. After some experimentation I found that this line was a window of zero width and it was possible to use the mouse to widen to a usable window. Opening subsequent documents was OK. I have now recreated this on VirtualBox and it seems that the problem occurs if you don't edit documents at the 23.10 stage. Steps to recreate. 1. Install Kubuntu 22.04, run apt update/dist-upgrade. 2. Close, take snapshot, reload 3. Create LibreOffice documents, eg calc, impress and write, enter random text. 4. Close, take snapshot, reload 5. Upgrade to 22.10 6. Close, take snapshot, reload 7. Log on, edit each document, add more random text. 8. Close, take snapshot, reload 9. Upgrade to 23.04 10. Close, take snapshot, reload 11. Log on and open documents Following the above script which includes document updates under 22.10, the documents open correctly in 23.04. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 2011281] Re: chromium snap upgrade "lost" my passwords

But I don't know where they're actually saved, and I can't access the plain text of the passwords through chromium, which continues to be a problem. ** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2011281 Title: chromium snap upgrade "lost" my passwords Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: On upgrade to chromium snap revision 2333 (now since upgraded to 2367), I received a window with a notice about password migration: "Password storage via the Gnome keyring has been fixed, but for it to work, you have to rename your old ~/snap/chromium/common/chromium/Default/Login Data file so that a new, working one can replace it." I don't remember if I did this or not. However, when I went to use my saved passwords in chromium today, I found that they were absent. Tracking down the data in the chromium profile, I found that there was a ~/snap/chromium/common/chromium/Default/Login Data.old containing all of my passwords, and a ~/snap/chromium/common/chromium/Default/Login Data containing a single password entry for a site that I happened to have created a new login for in the past few days. That's not a very user-friendly experience on upgrade.
