For me: Using "gksu Nautilus". Trying to open some pictures -> 1-2
minutes delay, than many Image Viewer opens.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1124632] Re: Backspace key does not work anymore.

2013-04-23 Thread Adam Hallgat
But being unable to change it is a bug.

Also Alt+down only can be used to go back one times, even if the navigator
displays the previous folders.
For example:
You are in /username/Images/Wallpapers folder.You Alt+up.
You are in /username/Images folder. You Alt+up.
You are in /username folder.

Now you see that with your mouse you can still go back to the Wallpapers
folder, but Alt+down only takes you to the Images folder, and pressing Alt+down
does nothing.
The second Alt+tab should bring you back to the Wallpapers folder. (Or what's
the point of showing the folders you have came from?)

And what's the point of disabling the backspace function?

Title:
Backspace key does not work anymore.

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
In previous versions of nautilus (the one shipped in 12.10),
In the file list, pressing the backspace in the keyboard browses to the upper
directory in the tree.
For instance if you're in /home/me and press backspace, you go to /home

Now the backspace key does nothing.

This shortcut key worked in recent versions of Windows, so removing it
is an annoyance for new Ubuntu users.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1429011] Re: 15.04 wallpapers package

2015-03-11 Thread Adam Hallgat
Can you increase the quality of the default purple wallpaper, or have it
as png? Those jpeg compression marks are ruining it.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1187009] Re: Apps like Spotify/Nevernote crash lightdm ending my session abruptly

2015-03-22 Thread Adam Hallgat
It happens for me too with an Intel integrated video card. The error
occurs when spotify tries to load advertisements or the header part for
a playlist. I don't know if the error is connected to the video driver
at all. Im on ubuntu 14.10.

Apps like Spotify/Nevernote crash lightdm ending my session abruptly

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-313-updates package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
So launching apps like Spotify/Nevernote kills my session and restarts
to the Ubuntu login screen. The whole system doesn't restart, just
  lightdm.

This also happens with for example Ubuntu One login through settings
menu when I click sign in. It works until I click sign in then it
  crashes to Ubuntu login screen.

I'm not sure what extra details I can provide for this kind of a crash
as the behavior seems quite random. I have the proprietary Nvidia
  drivers installed.

  Ubuntu 64bit 13.04
  Nvidia GeForce 320M/integrated/SSE2 - Driver: nvidia-313-updates
  Macbook 7,1

I've checked a bunch of log files in /var/log but can't see anything
that might give a clue. Everything seems to work fine that does work.
For example, I can play TF2 in Steam natively with no issues. I can
run Spotify through WINE with no issues and I can run Netflix-Desktop
with no issues. Opera/Chromium etc... all work fine. I can run
Android-Studio with no issues so I'm not sure what causes the
applications above to crash but it is quite a shock when launching an
app and all of a sudden your left at your login screen if you had
  something important open.

  evince-thumbnailer with a 100% CPU usage

  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evince

  Guys,

There are some complains about evince-thumbnailer with a 100% CPU
usage, but none of them could be replicated. I think I was able to
  track down the problem.

Whenever I'm downloading a PDF and saving it on my desktop, the file
changes at each second and every time it changes, evince-thumbnailer
tries to create a new thumb for it, then having a 100% CPU usage.
